Dr. Vivek Sharma has been officiating as Director/Principal at Govt. College of
Pharmacy, Rohru since Feb.2018 and has also worked as DDO/Controlling officer for Govt.
Pharmacy College Seraj, Mandi w.e.f January to June 2019 (additional charge). His area of
interest is behavioral neurosciences and neurodegenerative disorders.
Dr. Sharma completed his Diploma in Pharmacy form Himachal Pradesh Board of
Technical Education Dharamshala, Bachelors of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) from SD College of
Pharmacy, Barnala, Punjab (1st batch) Punjab Technical University in 2005. He earned his
master’s in Pharmacy (Pharmacology) from ISF college of Pharmacy, Moga (1st Batch) in 2007
and his doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences form Bhagwant University, Ajmer. He began his
teaching career form ISF college of Pharmacy, Moga as lecturer and joined the department of
Technical Education (Govt. of H.P.) as Assistant Professor in 2010. He has authored two books
and is credited with more than 35 publications in national/ international and referred journals
including European journal of Pharmacology (IF=3), Pharmacology Biochemistry and behavior
(IF=2.5) and Inflammopharmacology (IF=3.3) to name a few.
He is an acting Vice president Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research
(SPER), Himachal Pradesh. He is a life time member of ARDSI, Indian academy of
Neurosciences, APTI and IPGA. Membership of Post doctoral membership of American Society
of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics accepted (2012). He is a member of Board of
studies, HP Technical University Hamirpur, Director’s Nominee to conduct inspections of
different colleges of HP regarding extension of affiliation and is a sitting member of committee
of ratification of faculty of pharmacy colleges of Himachal Pradesh. He has worked as Controller
(Evaluation) Himachal Pradesh Technical University for B. Pharm. (Allo & Ayu) Dec. 2017-Jan
2018 (Received letter of appreciation).
Dr. Sharma has been guiding one PhD Student and has been a reviewer for
International Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology (Formerly African journal of pharmacy
and pharmacological research, European Journal of medicinal Plants, African Journal of
biotechnology, Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology (Royal pharmaceutical society, Britain),
CNS & Neurological Disorders – Drug Targets (Bentham Science) and BMC complementary
and alternative medicine (Springer). He is on editorial board of SOJ Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical
Sciences (Symbiosis Group, USA).
He has given oral/poster presentations in several conferences including IPC (NIPER),
CUD, APRC (New Delhi) and participated in several conferences including IPC (HITEX)
Hyderabad, IPS Jaipur and has attended several AICTE sponsored faculty development
programmes at NITTTR Chandigarh, MAHE Karnataka and YMCA Faridabad etc.

Shri Raneev Thakur carries professional experience of more than eight years in teaching and
research. Previously he has worked as a lecturer Pharmaceutics at Govt. College of Ayurvedic
Pharmaceutical Sciences Joginder Nagar under Department of Ayurveda (Now Department of
AYUSH), Govt. of Himachal Pradesh from 2012 to 2018. He joined the department of Technical
Education, Vocational and Industrial Training, Government of Himachal Pradesh as Assistant
Professor-Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) in 2018. He has completed his Post Graduation in Pharmaceutics
from Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) Odisha, India in 2011. His area of specialization
and research includes design and development of drug delivery systems, Controlled Drug delivery
systems, Drug targeting, natural gums used as a biodegradable polymer, Quality by Design in
synthesis of nonmaterial. He has contributed more than 12 publications in the journals of high repute.

present he is coordinating SWAYAM course in the institute. He has participated in more than 7

Shri Raneev Thakur is media in charge of the institute besides being in charge Pharmacy
Council of India (PCI), cultural activities, Institutional website, Nodal Officer-Red Ribbon Club
(RRC), Biometric attendance system, entrepreneurship cell, Nodal officer-SVEEP, Govt. Inspection,
event organizer etc. He is also a member of board of affiliation to carry at inspection of various
college of Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur.
Currently he is carrying on project work of students on hydrogel, gel beads, microspheres,
nanoparticles, floating as well as chewable tablets etc.

Dr. Priyanka Nagu is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Pharmaceutics) in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Govt. College of Pharmacy, Rohru, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. She has been in this position since February 2017. She completed her M. Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics from Chandigarh College of Pharmacy, Landran under IKG Punjab Technical University in 2016, and her B. Pharmacy from Govt. College of Pharmacy, Rohru under H.P. University, Shimla in 2014. Dr. Nagu has completed her doctoral studies in Pharmaceutics, from SJJTUniversity, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. She qualified for GPAT in the year 2014.
Being a keen researcher, her focus of research is screening, investigation, and formulation of herbal molecules for various ailments.Her areas of expertise include molecular docking, in-vitro and in-vivo experimentation for central nervous system (CNS) disorders, neurodegeneration, neurogenesis, Alzheimer’s disorder, and herbal therapeutics nanoformulations.
She has performed screening of herbal molecules through docking studies, has conducted an in-vitro and in-vivo investigation of predicted molecules, and has prepared various effective nano-formulationfor complications like Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Priyanka Nagu has published more than 10 review/research papers, in various referred/international journals of high repute. She has presented her research work at various conferences and workshops, both nationally and internationally,on important issues like intellectual property rights, drug discovery development, career opportunities in pharmacy, and neurodegenerative disease. Some of her notable publications include articles in the Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine, Journal of Scientific & Industrial Research, Bioengineering, Applied Biological Research, Journal of Molecular Neurosciences, and Reviews in the Neurosciences.Currently, her research contributions have been recognized with an H-index of 03 (Scopus Author Profile) and 04 (Google Scholar Profile).Additionally, she was awarded two research grants from International Brain Research Organization.
Dr. Nagu is a member ofAssociation of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) and is a registered member of the Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council.
She is serving as an Examination Incharge, NBA Coordinator, and AISHE Nodal Officer in her current role. She has also served as an NSS Programme Officer.
